Copperhead snakes we see in our yard, and I'm worried, because sometimes I have grandchildren who love the outdoors.

This will sound crazy, but I do not want my husband "finished" The Copperhead on my big stone wall set a year ago. The squirrels and singing, "Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead", as they dig all of my potted plants and tunnels under my concrete path. There was a huge explosion in the population of squirrels he shot the snake.
Mothballs. Wal-Mart snake repellent. Never heard of the repellent, but since I can remember, is naphthalene
Use a shotgun.
It sounds crazy to work, but the mothballs and moth crystals. Snakes and skunks do not like how the smell ... go figure:)
It could be a can of gasoline and the poor in court. So if you threw a snake a match into gasoline. Be careful. You do not burn the house.
they do not like mothballs
I use to keep snakes out of my garden spray all foliage
try to sprinkle a shelf or in the vicinity borec acid, not too dry for me.

Sometimes you can not always be out of court. We live in Mojave,) on the grounds of 5 hectares (block walls, and still the Mojave Green. Peacocks you will know whether the snakes in the yard (the peacock screams), and certain breeds of dogs barking and / or kill the snake. (Our lab cortex of 2-3 meters from the snake, ever, until) you remove the snake. Never let our grandchildren, until the dogs were for 1 / 2 hour or two, then go with them. Good luck!
Lanzo mothballs in my house once a year and receive a 20-gauge shotgun in my closet. Copperrheads dangers are real, so I use the gun.
I've heard that snakes are very sensitive to turpentine.
If there is a fence, I would paint keep some turpentine snakes in the yard.
